Bhubaneswar, March 10 (IANS) Suspected Maoists killed a trader in Orissa’s Koraput district Wednesday, police said.

Loknath Mandia Sahu was killed by armed assailants who were allegedly activists of Chasi Mulia Adibasi Sangha (CMAS), a Maoist backed outfit.

According to his family members, Sahu had been attacked earlier by the CMAS and he along with his family were staying outside the village out of fear.

‘My father was earlier attacked by the CMAS activists. CMAS activists killed my father,’ said the victim’s son, Narendra Mandia Sahu.

The CMAS has, however, denied their involvement in the killing.
