New York bombing plotter’s father being quizzed

Islamabad, May 6 (IANS) The father of the Pakistani-American behind the failed New York Times Square car-bombing plot has been detained for questioning.

Air Vice Marshal (retd.) Baharul Haq, father of Faisal Shahzad, was detained by authorities in the city of Hasan Abdal, and was being questioned about his son’s activities, Online news agency reported Thursday, citing a private news channel.

Shahzad is accused of a failed attempt to blow Times Square with a car-bomb.
