Hot day in Delhi

New Delhi, May 5 (IANS) The national capital had a hot day Wednesday at 41.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the average.

An official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said: ‘The maximum temperature recorded today (Wednesday) was 41.7 degrees Celsius which was two degrees above normal.’

The minimum temperature was 28.5 degrees Celsius, five notches above average.

‘The national capital can expect partly clouded sky with thunderstorm and rain Thursday,’ the official added.

The maximum temperature for Thursday is expected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius while the minimum will be 28 degrees Celsius.
